About Us

NewLibertyUSA.com started as a support site for Congressman Ron Paul's run for the Republican Party Nomination for President in 2008.

Now that Congressman Paul's run for the Presidency has ended, this site is going to transform into and educational tool dedicated to the study of Liberty and its application to U.S. Foreign Policy and U.S. Civil Liberties. It is important to realize that there is a cause and effect of U.S. Foreign Policy and it can have a major effect on the civil liberties of American Citizens. One example of this is the Patriot Act; an act that was designed as response to unintended consequences of U.S. Foreign Policy that played a role in setting the stage for the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01. Yes, tragically, the foreign policy of the United States played a role in radicalizing, coordinating, and arming the very terrorist that attacked us on 9/11.

The Patriot Act, while aimed at potential terrorist, violates the traditional and natural born rights of Americans guaranteed to us by our Constitution. The act allows the government to spy on Americans in ways that were majorly illegal prior to the passage of the Patriot Act (which, by the way, was not read by Congress before passing).

This intended use of this site is to serve as an educational resource for people interested in the study of Liberty and its application to U.S. Foreign Policy and domestic policy, especially civil liberties and civil rights.

Through this educational resource, NewLibertyUSA.com is hoping that the American people will demand, with their vote, a foreign policy of non-intervention and a domestic policy that that will repeal the Patriot Act and uphold all the Constitutional Rights of citizens of the Several States. We would also like to see a decentralization of power from Washington to State Capitals where the Constitution originally intended that the powers of government rest; local and accountable to its people.

After years of intense study and reflection upon what is most important to us as human beings and our past relationships with governments, we have concluded that only a government which values the individual’s right to own himself and everything he can produce can be called the most benevolent and fair form of government. Upon further study and reflection it also became clear that only governments accountable to the will of the people are governments that are controllable by the governed. Thus, if the people hope to maintain a fair and benevolent government, then the people must work to govern the government. The most efficient way to govern government is to localize and minimize as much as possible. This was also the conclusion of our founding fathers when they decided that our form of government should be a republican form with powers divided between different branches of government and between different governments; federal government, state government, county and city governments. We concluded as Tomas Paine did, “That government is best which governs least.”

We welcome you to NewLibertyUSA.com and we hope to see you often as we continue to add original content on the study of liberty and its applications in U.S. Foreign Policy and Civil Liberties.
